Fork Township Sanitary District’s primary mission is to provide water service to the Wayne County residents between the city to the east, Johnson County to the west, Neuse River to the south, and Little River to the north.  The district also has a water main that runs from the Wayne/Lenoir county line in the Eastern Wayne and Belfast community back to Fork Township. Currently we service around 5,000 customers.

Cut off day for July is Thursday July 30, 2026 at 8:30am.

Fork Township will be closed Friday July 3rd for Independence Day and will reopen for normal business hours on Monday July 6th. For your convenience payments can be left in our drop box or pay online.

Monday July 6, 2026 at 8:00am the water will be off at the Intersection at Rosewood Rd and NC Hwy 581 S. from the Family Dollar to the Railroad track for work being done at the new Rosewood Middle School. Sorry for the inconvenience in this matter.
