Fork Township Sanitary District’s primary mission is to provide water service to the Wayne County residents between the city to the east, Johnson County to the west, Neuse River to the south, and Little River to the north.  The district also has a water main that runs from the Wayne/Lenoir county line in the Eastern Wayne and Belfast community back to Fork Township. Currently we service around 5,000 customers.

Cut off day for February is Tuesday March 3, 2026 at 8:30am.

Notice is hereby given that the Fork Township Sanitary District Board will hold a Special Meeting at the District Office located at 825 Rosewood Road, Goldsboro NC, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 11:00 am. The purpose of this meeting will be to consider and approve the procedure to be followed in hiring a replacement for the position of District Manager which will be vacated upon the retirement of the current District Manager effective October 31, 2026. The Board also reserves the right to go into closed session if necessary to discuss any specific personnel matters.
