Fork Township Sanitary District’s primary mission is to provide water service to the Wayne County residents between the city to the east, Johnson County to the west, Neuse River to the south, and Little River to the north.  The district also has a water main that runs from the Wayne/Lenoir county line in the Eastern Wayne and Belfast community back to Fork Township. Currently we service around 5,000 customers.

Cut off day for January is Thursday January 29, 2026 at 8:30am.

Fork Township will be closed Monday January 19th for Martin Luther King Jr Day and will reopen for normal business hours Tuesday January 20th.
