Fork Township Sanitary District’s primary mission is to provide water service to the Wayne County residents between the city to the east, Johnson County to the west, Neuse River to the south, and Little River to the north.  The district also has a water main that runs from the Wayne/Lenoir county line in the Eastern Wayne and Belfast community back to Fork Township. Currently we service around 5,000 customers.

Cut off day for September is September 30, 2026 at 8:30am.

Our office will be closed Monday September 7th for Labor Day and will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday September 8th. For your convenience payments can be left in our drop box or pay online.

On September 9, 2026 we will be having our yearly burnout in some of our District where we will be switching from chlorine to chloramines and will switch back October 21, 2026. Not all will be affected by this.
