Fork Township Sanitary District’s primary mission is to provide water service to the Wayne County residents between the city to the east, Johnson County to the west, Neuse River to the south, and Little River to the north.  The district also has a water main that runs from the Wayne/Lenoir county line in the Eastern Wayne and Belfast community back to Fork Township. Currently we service around 5,000 customers.

Cut off day for April is Thursday April 30, 2026 at 8:30am.

Fork Township Sanitary District will be closed Friday April 3, 2026 for Good Friday and will reopen for normal business hours on Monday April 6th. For your convenience payments can be left in our drop box or pay online.

On Tuesday April 7, 2026 the water will be off from 8:00am to 3:00pm on NC Hwy 581 S. from Community Dr to the Intersection at Rosewood Rd due to working on water lines for the new school. Rosewood Rd or Community Dr will not be affected by this matter.
