A few years ago we installed new meters at every residence and business on the water system. Due to the cost of the meter and its components, any damage that is done to the meter will be billed to the customer on record. Please use caution when using a lawnmower around the meter boxes because the black cap on top of the meter box can be damaged by mower decks. The homeowner can benefit by keeping the meter box visible and clean so it can be seen by the person doing the yard maintenance.  The cost of repairs will range from $30.00 to $150.00 depending on the amount of damage.
